Blind rivets are fastening systems that allow the user to make a quick riveting connection on only one side of the workpiece, allowing for quick and easy installation. Installation requires only three steps: insertion into the hole, deformation of the rivet body and destruction of the mandrel. Blind rivets also come in a variety of head types, including domed, countersunk, or giant rivets, in materials such as aluminium, galvanized steel, copper, stainless steel, cupro-nickel, and monel.
Copper body blind rivets are also available with steel, brass or bronze shank making them the best solution for copper body fastening. Cupronickel blind rivets (an alloy of 90% copper and 10% nickel) are widely used in roofing because they are easier to weld to fasteners on stainless steel components.
